Purpose: To prevent parts that do not meet quality criteria from being delivered to the customer.
Application: An order is established in which all the products sent to the customer are checked one by one according to the determined criteria and method before shipment in the supplier area. It is implemented at the supplier's own request and the initiative is entirely in the hands of the supplier. It is mostly applied for a temporary period.
The supplier can have the quality wall built by its own personnel. Suppliers who cannot get the expected performance in the controls carried out by their own personnel or who do not want to employ temporary personnel often outsource their quality walls to third-party expert companies.
Control results are reported to the quality unit of the supplier company. Based on the results, the supplier decides whether to continue or terminate the quality wall.
Purpose: To prevent the arrival of parts that do not meet the quality criteria from the supplier.p>
Application: CSL-1 is a quality wall application. However, the customer initiates the application, not the supplier, and determines the control criteria. If non-conforming parts are not received from the supplier for a certain period of time, the application may be terminated.
In CSL-1, the supplier can have the quality wall built by its own personnel or outsourced to third-party expert companies. The customer who does not like the performance of the supplier's personnel may require the supplier to have the checks carried out by third-party expert companies.
Control results are reported only to the quality unit of the supplier company.
CONTRACT is the approved CSL-1 supplier of many local and global main industrial companies.
Purpose: To prevent the supplier from receiving parts that do not meet the quality criteria and to enable the supplier to make improvements in production.
Application: The customer who is not satisfied with the CSL-1 performance requests the supplier to take action focused on solving the problem. CSL-1 application continues, but the parts checked in the CSL-1 quality wall are checked 100% again in a second quality wall. The customer initiates the CSL-2 application, determines the control criteria, and monitors the CSL-2 results. The criteria for terminating CSL-2 are generally that no nonconforming parts arrive from CSL-1 for 5 weeks and that the supplier implements a successful major kaizen application in production to eliminate the error.
CSL-2 application is carried out by a third-party expert company approved by the customer. Control results are reported to both the supplier and the customer.
CONTRACT is the approved CSL-2 supplier of many local and global main industrial companies.
Purpose: To enable the supplier to make improvements in production.
Application: Implementation: If the CSL-2 application continues for a long time and the supplier company cannot implement a successful major kaizen application, the customer quality unit comes into play. CSL-3 is the implementation of major kaizen application by customer and supplier quality units. Alternatively, specialized companies that provide customer-approved quality engineering services may also take part in the CSL-3 application on behalf of the customer quality unit.
CSL-3 application is carried out by a third-party expert company approved by the customer. Control results are reported to both the supplier and the customer.
