In the January-May period of 2024, total vehicle production in Turkey decreased by 2%, while passenger car production increased by 1% compared to the same period the previous year. During this period, total production reached 606,905 units, with passenger car production at 391,932 units.

In the January-May period of 2024, the total market grew by 5% compared to the same period last year, reaching 491,482 units. In the same period, the passenger car market expanded by 10% to 375,097 units.

In the commercial vehicle segment, production fell by 7%, light commercial vehicle production decreased by 6%, and heavy commercial vehicle production dropped by 12% in the January-May period of 2024. During this time, the commercial vehicle market contracted by 8%, with the light commercial vehicle market also down by 8% and the heavy commercial vehicle market down by 7%.

In the January-May period of 2024, total automotive exports increased by 1% in terms of units, while passenger car exports rose by 2% compared to the same period the previous year. During this period, total automotive exports were recorded at 417,826 units, with passenger car exports at 269,349 units.

In the same period, total automotive exports increased by 3% in Dollar terms and 2% in Euro terms. Total automotive exports amounted to 15.1 billion dollars, while passenger car exports decreased by 1%, remaining at 4.4 billion dollars. In Euro terms, passenger car exports decreased by 1%, amounting to 4 billion Euros.
