Non-Destructive Inspection

Ultrasonic
Ultrasonic Inspection is a special method to detect cracks, defects and residues that cannot be seen with the naked eye in the material, through sound waves, and to evaluate the compliance of the material to be used with the standards.

CONTRACT has a wide range of ultrasonic inspections, especially spot welding inspection. It has a device park. Inspections are carried out by internationally accredited Level-I, Level-II and Level-III experts.

Scope of Ultrasonic Inspection:
Thickness Measurement, Crack Control, Pore, Residue Control, Spot Welding Control
Liquid Penetrant
It is an inspection method used to detect surface defects. These checks and error evaluations are carried out and reported by expert personnel (PT1, PT2 certified people) qualified according to TS 7477 (EN473).

CONTRACT has the equipment and chemicals to perform liquid penetrant inspections. The examinations are carried out by internationally accredited Level-I, Level-II and Level-III experts.
Magnetic Particle
The detection of discontinuities in materials by the magnetic method by MT-1,2,3 level experts is called Magnetic Particle Inspection.

CONTRACT has the equipment and chemical park to perform magnetic particle inspections. The examinations are carried out by internationally accredited Level-I, Level-II and Level-III experts.

Destructive Inspection

Sample Preparation
These are preliminary preparation processes such as polishing, baking and etching the part cut from the critical region, which represents the whole of the part to be measured.
Macrostructure Review
Dimensional measurements between 10x-20x can be made with numerical data. Surface characteristic features (e.g. channels, scratches, grooves, burrs, paint residue, etc. in the connection areas of pipes used as sealing elements) are examined at micron level.
Microstructure Review
Metal material internal structure characteristics (pearlite, ferrite, austenite, cementite ratios) are analyzed and the internal structure image is reported with its ratios in 2 colors. Micro examination can be performed up to 1000X.
Hardness Measurements
Rockwell (HRA, HRB, HRC) and Vickers (HV) hardness measurements are made for metal materials. SHORE (SH-D, SH-A) hardness measurements are made for plastic and rubber materials.

For heat treated parts; Surface Hardness, Core Hardness, ESD Hardness scan towards core.
Source Controls
It includes the welding hardness, weld penetration suitability and heat affected zone hardness checks after the welded area of the sample containing the weld is cut, bakelite, polished and etched.
Surface Roughness Measurements
Determining the surface quality of parts involves measuring the surface roughness value (Ra). Surface quality measurement can be made even at a distance of 0.560 mm.
